Healthy Tzatziki Sauce

When the summer grill is burning hot, grilled chicken can often be found on the household menu. This fresh dill & lemon zest sauce is a perfect compliment with it’s tangy zip to grilled chicken, as well as grilled salmon or swordfish. And by using non-fat Greek Yogurt, it’s a healthy way to add flavor.

Whip up this sauce for a chicken pita, and top with Grilled Thyme Tomatoes!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup+ diced English Cucumber
  • 1 1/2 cups plain non-fat Greek Yogurt
  • Juice of half a Lemon
  • 1/4 cup+ Fresh Dill, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated Garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper to taste

Dice the cucumber into small pieces. In a medium sized bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix well. You can adjust the amount of cucumber & dill to your taste.  Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with grilled chicken, salmon or on a pita.
