The Classic Mimosa

So there is this restaurant that serves brunch every Sunday. The food is good. But why do people really go?? Perhaps it’s the $5 Bloody Mary’s. But really, it’s the Bottomless Mimosas. Literally. You’ll never know how many you actually had, because you will never see the bottom of your glass.

While this particular mimosa is tasty (we keep going back, right?), and the bubbles will go to your head (my last visit led to a friend and I wandering into a consignment store and each buying furs…. it was 85 degrees out), I’m not even sure they use real orange juice. So when I’m in the mood for a really, really good mimosa, our group makes brunch and serves up the good stuff below!

Ingredients

  • 1 Bottle Champagne, or sparkling wine such as Prosecco
  • 1 Bottle Fresh Squeezed Florida Orange Juice, such as Natalie’s
  • Fresh Fruit for Garnish, such as Strawberries or Raspberries
You can either pour both bottles into a large pitcher, mix and serve, or individual glasses can be served – pour half the glass with orange juice and the remainder with the sparkling wine. Raspberries can be dropped into the glass, or strawberries can be perched on the edge of the glass. For a different twist, you can get a mixed fruit orange juice, such as Mango Orange…delish!
