This meal came together based upon what was in the freezer. It’s so easy and so delicious. My husband said it reminded him of his childhood meals, right down to sections of undercooked dough…his favorite as a child! It reminds me of a giant pig-in-a-blanket – still a favorite! 🙂
Ingredients
- 4 Chicken Sausages
- 1 Box Pillsbury Puff Pastry Sheets (2 per box)
- 2 tbls Dijon Mustard
- Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper
- Butter for melting on top
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Thaw the dough as instructed on the box. In a large sauté pan, heat olive oil over medium to high heat. Sear the sausages on all sides, ensuring it is cooked through. Unwrap the dough, and cut each sheet into two strips. Smear Dijon mustard on the dough. Place the hot sausages onto each strip, season with Salt & Pepper, and roll them up. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the dough starts to brown. Melt a small amount of butter on top. Serve hot.
